President and Chief Executive Officer, Virgil Curry, Jr. founded Vision Centric, Inc. (VCI) in August of 2004. Mr. Curry’s vision for the company was providing a dedicated group of highly skilled engineer, acquisition/contract, analyst, logistician, and management personnel with superior planning and execution skills for achieving government and commercial customer missions and goals. Since its inception, VCI continues to fulfill that vision through exceptional program management, engineering, administrative, and acquisition/contract support to Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Homeland Security, Air Force, RCCTO Hypersonic and many others, with commendations for VCI’s highly professional management and staff.
Mr. Curry is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a Bachelor of Business Administration and of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a Master of Business Administration. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant as an ADA Officer. He served as Platoon Leader, S-3, before joining the Army Acquisition Corp in 1993. As a Product Manager, he supported multiple programs with the Hypersonic Office, MDA, and National Missile Defense Joint Programs Office in the developmental advancements for prototyping, integration options for hardware test tools, complex software configuration, managing all ground test activities and flight test operations. He has obtained Acquisition Training Level with additional training in Operations Management, Financial Management, Technical Management, Quantitative Decision-Making, and Planning, Programming, and Budgeting System (PPBS). For more than 18 years, he currently supports the Hypersonic Weapon System and serves as SME when available.
Throughout his career, he has been responsible for developing detailed test plans, establishing goals and objectives to support long-range program planning, and has effectively and consistently demonstrated expertise in managing and achieving quality standards, while simultaneously meeting contractual program requirements for contracts.
Now a retired Lieutenant Colonel, Mr. Curry leverages his acquisition and leadership experience from lessons learned during his 35-year career to achieve VCI’s mission objectives.
